World's largest forum for methane projects set for March

Methane Expo 2013 is organized by the Global Methane Initiative and is one of the premier international forums for promoting methane recovery and use project opportunities and technologies.

Previous Expos were held in Beijing, China and New Delhi, India. They included more than 750 participants from 34 countries and featured 91 methane capture and use projects, with more than 100 exhibitors.

Methane Expo 2013 Provides Participants with Opportunities to:

• Showcase methane mitigation projects and technologies

• Learn about the latest project opportunities, technologies, and services

• Meet with potential project partners and financiers

• Explore key technical, financial, and policy issues

• Interact with high-level government agencies from 41 countries

implementation

• Methane-to-Electricity Project to Recover Gas from
Coal Mines

Municipal Solid Waste
• MSW sector NAMA: presentations from pilot projects

• Municipal wastewater treatment in Latin-America and
associated GHG emissions

Oil and Gas
• Oil and Gas Sector Methane Emissions Reduction/
Mitigation Opportunities and Supportive Funding
Cross Sector

• Cross-sector Agriculture, Municipal Solid Waste and
Waste Water panels on policies, incentives, and technologies
to encourage biogas in GMI countries
