The Warsash Group recently unveiled a new environmental consulting service designed to help organizations in meeting the most diligent standards of prevention and preparedness and compliance requirements with applicable legislation.
The process starts with a review and assessment of a facility, progresses through a written risk assessment and delivers a comprehensive plan of action that allows organizations to logically implement appropriate improvements.
Examples of systemic factors assessed include:
-inventory of potentially contaminating substances
-air and water emissions
-recommendations of storage, segregation, packaging and, where possible, removal or replacement
-review and, where necessary, development of prevention, protection and control plans
-personnel training.
The process ensures compliance with the following regulatory documents:
-Transportation of Dangerous Goods
-Fire Code
-WHMIS
-Waste Management (provincial and federal)
-Occupational Health and Safety Act
-Canadian Standards Association
-Canadian General Standards Board
-UN Recommendations.
The environmental consulting service will be based in Burlington, Ontario and will be led by John Hosty, an experienced marine surveyor and business manager with over 25 years of specialist experience in marine, health and safety, hazardous materials management, emergency response, and environmental protection.
