Worst show-and-tell ever?

Decontamination processes ensued after a student in Maryland decided to bring in a bottle of mercury to show his school chums, reports W*USA 9.

Initially the bottle of mercury was opened on the school bus en route to Francis Scott Key Middle School, “affecting” some 35 students, the news report states.

The mercury bottle was opened again in the classroom, leading authorities to have to isolate and decontaminate various clothing and footwear belonging to the children.

The origin of the mercury has not yet been released.
