A welder has died after a 10,000-gallon fuel oil tank exploded on August 19, 2013 at Brownies Oil Co., about 80 miles northeast of Pittsburgh.
The man, who has yet to be identified by officials, died when he was stuck by flying steel debris from the blast.
The explosion spilled an estimated 7,500 gallons of fuel at the site.
Department of Environmental Protection officials were on scene to investigate, following the explosion.
Brownies Oil Co. is in the Reynolds Industrial Park in Mercer County, western Pennsylvania.
