Certified Hazardous Materials Managers (CHMMs) have a new tool in their waste-tracking toolkit with the release of HazardousWasteFinder, a newly-launched software service from CleanEarthApps LLC.

After environmental health and safety managers and CHMMs asked for 24/7 access to organize, document and manage their hazardous waste, CleanEarthApps delivered.

“After three years of listening, launching and re-coding we’ve created a mobile-friendly platform -- for about $4 a day,” says Craig Lutz-Priefert, Managing Partner of CleanEarthApps.

Industry feedback emphasized the importance of reports and scheduling for Hazardous Waste managers. The Container Shipment and Disposal Snapshot is a critical component of the software. Now, even in the middle of the night, a CHMM can quickly and securely log-in through their phone or computer and instantly see the status of shipments, manifest tracking numbers, and disposal status. Or, if they want to core down to specific container reports or inspection reports or requests, an EHS Manager can do that as well.

Other popular features include phone/tablet based monitoring of waste containers. Setup is easy from the desktop administrative interface, which also includes a unique EPA Waste Code lookup table; the first of its kind in an integrated mobile platform.  Additionally, the CHMM can instruct the system to send out any updates, set trigger events or reminders a few days before an event or shipment.

CleanEarthApps develops mobile-enabled software for EPA-Compliance and environmental monitoring and education.  Products include Hazardous WasteFinder, DumpDetective and Water1der.
