Guelph University offering courses on toxicology, geographical epidemiology

The School of Environmental Sciences at the University of Guelph, in partnership with the Ontario Veterinary College, is offering two courses on Advanced Principles of Toxicology and Geographical Epidemiology.

The Advanced Principles of Toxicology course will take place at the University of Guelph from May 7 to 18, 2012 and will review:

-current knowledge in environmental and human health toxicology

-processes used to interpret toxicological data

-techniques and procedures to perform risk assessment in human health and the ecosystem.

The Geographical Epidemiology course, to be held at the University of Guelph from June 11 to 15, 2012, will provide an overview of methods used in geographical epidemiology demonstrated by hands-on exercises using R statistical free software.
