Golder filling 24 positions to advance Atlantic expansion

Less than one year after opening offices in Halifax and St. John's in 2012, Golder Associates is moving forward with its efforts to strengthen its Atlantic foothold, which already included a location in Labrador City.

Golder's new local team of 24 experienced professionals join forces with its global network of specialists to offer innovative and reliable solutions that are adapted to the needs of companies in the Mining, Oil & Gas, Real Estate and Energy sectors. A comprehensive range of services are provided in four areas of expertise: Mining, Environmental Impact Assessments, Geotechnical Engineering and Contaminated Sites.

"Golder's growing presence in Atlantic Canada will further help companies tackle environmental challenges and execute large-scale projects," said Scott Conrod, Operations Manager for AtlanticCanada, in a statement ot media. 

Moreover, several new recruits will soon be added to this team to fill, among others, the following positions (www.golder.ca/careers):

  • Senior and Intermediate Open Pit Mine Engineers (gold, base metals, gypsum and aggregate)
  • Senior Rock Mechanics Engineer (open pit and underground)
  • Intermediate Underground Mine Engineers (gold, base metals, potash and salt)
  • Intermediate Tailings Engineer
  • Senior Environmental Assessment Specialist
  • Senior and Junior Geotechnical Engineers
  • Senior and Intermediate Contaminated Sites Professionals
