The U.S.-based Air & Waste Management Association (A&WMA) has issued a call for abstracts for its 107th Annual Conference & Exhibition to be held June 24-27, 2014 in Long Beach, California.
The 2014 conference theme is “Navigating Environmental Crossroads,” and the draft title for the 2014 Critical Review topic is “Determining Which Components of Particulate Matter May Be Most Harmful: The Case of Black Carbon and Associated Emissions.”
Papers that are related to the conference theme or Critical Review topic are encouraged, but A&WMA welcomes original work on all environmental issues.
“Our Annual Conference & Exhibition brings together more than 1,600 environmental professionals from all around the world and is one of the environmental industries’ premier education, networking, and solutions events,” said Jim Powell, A&WMA’s Executive Director, speaking in an October 10, 2013 statement to media. “This conference is known for its high quality technical program and we expect that 2014 will feature the most extensive and notable technical program yet,” he added.
Abstracts are solicited on current issues, case studies and practical experience, and will be evaluated for technical quality, relevance and significance to current environmental issues, and lack of commercialism. Principal areas of interest include air, environmental management, and resource conservation and waste management.
