Geosyntec Consultants recently appointed Sean Ragain as Principal and announced that he will work out of the firm's office in Portland, Oregon.

Ragain has more than 20 years of professional experience providing consulting services to both private industry and governmental agencies, much of that in the strategic management of environmental contaminant investigation and remediation projects for industrial and federal clients.

He has managed the closure and reuse of contaminated properties formerly used in the aerospace, forest products, agricultural, chemical, and manufacturing/storage industries, and he routinely assists attorneys on complex environmental and groundwater issues related to property redevelopment, insurance cost recovery, and land use planning.

Ragain earned his BS in geology from Kent State University in Ohio. He is a registered professional geologist in Idaho, Oregon, and Washington. He can be reached via e-mail at sragain@geosyntec.com or by telephone at 503-222-9518.
