The U.S. Department of Energy, the Electric Power Research Institute, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, and the Air & Waste Management Association (A&WMA) will present the seventh MEGA Symposium, August 25-28, in Baltimore, MD. This conference will provide a detailed look at issues related to power plant air emissions.

"As power plants work to keep up with the energy demands of the world, pollution issues inevitably arise," said Adrianne Carolla, A&WMA Executive Director. "This internationally recognized conference will allow environmental professionals to discuss state-of-the-art methods for reducing and managing these plant emissions."

MEGA will display the most recent development and operational experience, and will cover techniques for reducing SOx, NOx, particulate, mercury, and toxics emissions from fossil-fueled boilers. The conference will also discuss carbon dioxide emissions abatement and will devote an entire day to carbon management technologies.

The keynote panel will focus on governmental assessments, initiatives, and responses to court rulings on CO2 , mercury, and multi-pollutants.

MEGA will also feature a sold out exhibit hall where over 70 exhibitors will be displaying the latest products, technologies, and services.
