*Editor’s Note: Welcome to the Week 9 preview of the Sites and Spills Conference, Feb. 19-20, 2014, at the International Centre in Toronto.
In less than a month’s time, experts from the HazMat, remediation, emergency response and environmental consultant sectors will descend upon the third annual Sites and Spills Conference in Toronto.
The Sites and Spills event planning team has been busy putting the final touches on two days of informative and thought-provoking workshops, roundtables and presentations that will be the heart of the February 19-20, 2014 experience at the International Centre.
“We’re really happy to be getting down to the wire for this year’s Sites and Spills Conference,” says Guy Crittenden, editor of HazMatmag.com. “We have a really great selection of workshops that come straight out of the newspaper headlines, from the ongoing cleanup at Lac-Mégantic, to the challenges overcome during the Calgary flood, and so much more that can be applied to help make people more adept at their own industry jobs,” he adds.
In between workshops, conference delegates will have the opportunity to peruse the tabletop format trade show, where some of the newest industry technologies and techniques will be on display from vendors right across Canada. Of course, this is also prime networking time to meet familiar faces, and some new ones, to help take a step forward in your particular industry.
This weeks, our Sites and Spills team has finalized the panel for its REMEDIATION ROUNDTABLE: Risk-Based Remediation at Spill Sites: Solutions, Limitations, Pros & Cons
Moderated by Greg Quandt, Hemmera
